Teachers
 
         ■ Training and testing for teachers:
             We regularly invite experts university and professors to introduce different
             teaching methods to our teachers; sometimes we invite some foreign 
             students of Chinese to give some suggestion as well.
             The school will test teachers about their basic Chinese language for 
             foreigner’s knowledge and teaching skills on a regular schedule.
         ■ New teacher recruiting and training:
             Every newcomer to our teaching staff has to receive at least two months  
             of  training regardless of his or her previous experience. Our experts 
             trains  them in a hand-on way: the new teachers teach real foreign
             students who are invited by the school and supervised by experts who 
             will  help correct and train the teachers. In this way, our teaching method 
             is unified. The whole process of training is filmed and all the teachers
             watch the videotapes. The new teachers must pass 4 exams during the 
             1st year to continue teaching at Living Chinese School.
         ■ Teachers-level management system:
             We have carried out a teachers-level management system to give all 
             teachers a fair and open platform to show their capacities and abilities. 
             According to this system, every teacher can clearly know his or her level in
             teaching. What’s more important is teachers’ management will be more
             open and democratic. Teachers can submit any questions and problems
             existing in all mattes at Living Chinese School. It will speed up question
             solving and boost evaluation system. The Bridge School plans to improve
             and realize it within half a year. Besides, by the end of this year, bonuses
             for teachers will double that of last year’s.
         ■ Teachers at Living Chinese School are closely monitored to ensureteaching 
             quality. Before teachers begin teaching at Living Chinese School , they first
             must complete a training course that outlines Living Chinese School 's
             teaching guidelines and ex-pectations for the teachers. After completion of
             the training course, 2-3 in-class in-spections will take place. In addition, at
             the end of each course students are asked to evaluate their teacher's
             performance, as well as their own personal progress in the course. If
             students feel they are having difficulties with a teacher during their course,
             we encourage them to approach one of the service staff to voice their
             concerns.
 
 
Teaching Methods
 
       1.Speaking, Conversing & Listening Comprehension  
         ■ we focus on spoken chinese. So in our classes Student's speaking will
             occupy more than 60% of the time, and the teacher's lectures will occupy
             less than 40% of the time.
         ■ The teacher will select the most important expressions from the book
             and combine them with the student's background, so that the student
             can learn everyday Chinese quickly.
         ■ In our classes ,teachers use chinese to explain new words and new 
             sentences instead of using English. And teachers give many context of
             words to the students so that students can understand words by 
             themselves and can usethem freely , not just can read or remember.
         ■ Considering these important auxiliary functions to spoken language
             learning , we at Living Chinese school will help our students to recognize
             and write some simple Characters from the beginning with the basic
             strokes .But we think that after finishing Level one ,students begin to learn
             character ,it is a good way to learn character.
 
Teaching Quality Control
 
     1.Teacher quality control
         All of teachers must meet the requirement below.
         ◆Bachelor degree or above
         ◆Chinese major or TCFL(Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language)
         ◆The level of mandarin at least first grade of second class
         ◆Second language of teacher at high achievement and fluent
         ◆More than three years of teaching experience
         ◆Senior teachers required more than ten years work experience
     2.Teaching process control and teaching effect testing
         Teaching process must in accordance to the procedure below
         ●Test before class and balance the class within the test
         ●Free listening lesson for students
         ●Asking students advice and adjusting course or teacher if dissatisfied
         ●Providing plan about courses twice and schedule
         ●Providing MP3 materials for students per 10 hours
         ●Making a investigation of study per 30 hours and adjusting teaching in time
         ●Making up for students who not attending class for some reasons
         ●Providing free lessons when the mandarin level of students varying widely
         ●Evaluating regularly teachers including spot check on lesson preparation, 
            teaching plan, attitude to work, interactions with students, the job sums up
            etc.
         ●Making an assessment of study per 100 hours and providing report
         ● In due course making an assessment of holistic accomplishments and
             providing report
         ●Students not achieving the desired results attending free class next term
